I replaced the lid switch today and it still does not work. It goes through wash cycle, then when the machine starts to drain, there is a clicking sound ( like a switch) and the agitator seems to wrap the clothing around it and it stops. I take out some clothing and it will drain and spin. Is it the motor, trans, brake, coupler? Help...This is no way to spend my fathers day lol.

Does no reply mean nobody knows what is wrong with the washer? I would hate to have a repairman come in, charge $100 for the housecall, then tell me, sorry you need a new machine or need to replace something that cost $200 and I am out $300? (At least a lawyer has free consultations) Guess it is time to buy a cheapo washer for $350. somebody, please some help?

I checked into this a little further. The lid switch and water lever switch check fine with the ohm meter. The machine works fine empty or with a few items inside of it. Once I put in a towel or 2, once it starts the rinse cycle, the agitator moves and stops over and over, there is some type of clicking from the back of the machine. When I remove some items, it works fine. It seems as though the load is too heavy or making it hard for the agitator to work. Sometimes items are wrapped around and caught under the agitator.

Help, my wife is hand washing and driving me crazy!

My washer stops when it goes into the spin mode when there is clothing in it. I can run the machine empty and it runs through fine. I checked the switch that prevents it from spinning and it is fine. Being completely lost when it comes to appliances like washer and dryers, I need help. I cannot even figure out hot to remove the cover of the washing machine to look at the insides. Thanks for your help.
