Yes, it does just pull up, but many times it is difficult, and even dangerous since it is prone to release all at once and you find yourself smacking yourself in the face.

Be careful, enlist a friend and see if you can get it off.

Hi there, my washer agitator was broken so I bought a new one. Acordding to the following diagram, how do I remove item "300"? It looks like I can just pull it off, but I just want to make sure there is no bolt or anything special that prevent me from doing that. Thanks!
