Any indepedent repair service should be able to work on this machine.
I cannot advise you further because we need a full model number. There should be a 417 or 110 in front of the model number, which will tell us if it is a Frigidaire or Whirlpool made machine.
It may be as simple as removing an obstruction. If you want further help please post the full model number and describe in detail what the machine does after it fills.

Hello,
My washer is filling up but not draining, therefore causing leaking down to the next floor. Should I investigate having it fixed. Are their repairmen out there that don't work for Sears exclusively that are cheaper? My husband had a stroke 2 years ago and would not be able to take on this task. I don't know if I can handle this myself but with my husband not working I really don't have money to replace it.
