Sounds like a new timer will fix your problem.

every thing works fine when you use the timer. only in the auto cycle the dryer keeps running. it will not move past the cool down section on the dial. you can stop it my manualy moving the dial to off or by opening the door. if you open the door you can still hear the timer running. hope this clears the issue up

not sure I need to test it out. My wife only told me about when she uses it on Regular more dry ( i think that is all she uses ) yess it does have auto wrinkle out

Does this happen in all the cycles? Does your dryer have a "Wrinkle Release" function?

I have an Amana electric dryer model nde7800ayw Ser# 12910127ec that wroks fine but will not turn off. We set it and the dial moves to cool down and stops. the dryer will continue to run untill the door is opend
