I don't know how old this top loading machine is, model number is CORRECT: WWA7300VBLWH

prone to over filling, this machine has stopped agitating. when I press down on the agitator while the machine is mid cycle, it will catch and agitate, but no other way. As soon as I take my hand off the agitator, it does not agitate.

Is there an agitator coupler that needs replacing? what do you think it is?
is this something that I can repair myself? is this common? (I have fixed refridgerators and dryers before) How do I get the agitator off, anyway?

evidently, this is an older model, and there are no LED lights on the motor that i could find. thanks for your help
