Hi, Quote:is it possible i reversed the wires when replaced the switch? It's possible, but it would not make any difference. Wires burn off like that from bad connections. If the wire spades come lose the bad connection would have created heat.

about 7 mths ago i replace the thermal cut off switch in my dryer and work fine until last week when the dryer kept tipping the circuit breaker box, so i pulled off the back panel of the dryer and found both wires going to the thermal switch melted, is it possible i reversed the wires when replaced the switch?
