My experience is that the problem you are experiencing is the rear bearing. The way to determine this is from the location of the noise. It can also be the pulley or belt, so here is what I suggest you do.

Replace the slides, you will need four of them and they just slip into place,

Part number: AP631382
Part number: AP631382

and replace the rear bearing (you will need to take off the front, take out the drum to get to it

Part number: AP2619300
Part number: AP2619300

and replace the belt and idler pulley

Part number: AP4324040
Part number: AP4324040

and this

Part number: AP2043227
Part number: AP2043227

and you should be good to go.

Do you need to do all of this at this time? Probably not, but if you do the Dryer should be all set for years to come and you don't have to worry about getting into it again for noise or squeaking problems.

I believe this is the slides as after reading some post, I opened the front and cleaned all the built up lint and this quieted the dryer for a bit. 1st question is how can I prevent this build up even though I faithfully clean lint filter every load. 2nd, In ordering these parts they are described as front and back yet the diagram for this dryer shows the 4 sliders side by side. Can anyone help me get the right parts ordered as well as specific instructions for installing? Thank anyone in advance for any help I am requesting. Michnscott

addedum Could this problem also be the bearings? How would I know if its bearings or sliders causing this very loud squeek?
