There are no threads in the valve body, the comp. ftg. has what appears to be a friction fit, with a small O ring near the bottom: this contributes greatly to the ftg. spinning in the valve body. Thanks

Hi,

If the threads are stripped out on the body of the water valve then you will have to replace the valve.

I Moved a fridge for a friend, when trying to remove the comp. ftg. from the valve, the fitting itself spun in the plastic valve body. after trying a few different fixes, the ftg. popped out of the valve body. now the ftg. wont seal in the valve body.

is there a way to fix this without replacing the entire Valve?
Very grateful for any help, thanks.
