Probably you need to replace the dispensor assembly, or you may be able to remedy the problem with a cleaning out of the assembly but we really cannot say how to check it or what to do without a model number.
Post one and let's see exactly what machine you have.

have a 4 year old Kenmore Washer & for the last year I've had to empty water out of the bleach & softener dispensers after each wash. The bleach dispenser is completely full of water & has overflowed into the softener dispenser. I do not use either bleach or softener. Do you know what would be causing this problem? Thank you.
