Very good advice Gene.

I have seen alot of guys just thaw the line, and not replace the valve. Though this may work on occasion, normally the frozen line syndrome is caused by a bad inlet valve.

The first thing I would check is the water feeding tube into the ice maker for ice inside.

If it's frozen, you can use a hair dryer to defrost it.

In that case the water inlet valve has to be replaced.

- The part number for the water inlet valve is AP4298908
