Hi Everyone,

We have a Whirlpool WRX735SDBM00 French door-style refrigerator that we acquired secondhand. It's been great to use and both the fridge and freezer sections appear to get down to the right temperatures.

The only problem is that the evaporator fan in the freezer section seems to always be running, regardless of whether or not the compressor is running. I've never waited for or seen it go through a defrost cycle, so I don't know if it shuts off then. If I enter the diagnostic mode in the dispenser console, however, it will shut off then.

Does anyone know if this constant running is normal? If not, what control board would I have to replace to fix it so that it turns on only when necessary?
