I let it "rest" unplugged for about an hour. I then manually unlocked the door and it started, but just sat in the start mode, until it through a F28 error.

We received a gently used washing machine from a friend and last week it stopped working. I have done some basic repairs on it (and had a friend look at it as well). It originally was throwing error codes (F70, F71, F28). I tried tightening the MI3 cord and no luck. Long story short, I went through a number of steps and the error codes always seem to be pointing to the control board (the one on top). I ordered and installed a replacement. The machine turned on fine, but when we tried to run our first load the door locked and the machine just had the three beeps again. I tried again unplugging the MI3 and plugging in the machine, but to no avail. I am not really sure what to do now. Help please?
