Original symptoms(which I have seen in other posts):
Washer periodically would not go into spin cycle. Would make a loud buzzing sound, hum and then shut off. I would smell an electrical smell from the motor and it seemed overheated. Could restart later, but noticed that every time the motor kicked it would make a noise when starting. Wash/agitate, drain and spin (even when later restarted) all seem to work fine.

Specific symptom I could not find in other posts:
I removed the belts so I could see how it would behave without the pulley workload. When I run the motor without the belts, I noticed the motor is still making the noise when starting; however it runs fine once started.

Could this be related to the motor start switch on this model or something else? Looks like if it is, I'd have to go with a new motor since it appears there been a redesign or some sort. Trying to determine if I'm potentially looking at more than one problem. Any help is appreciated.
