My top loading Whirlpool washer has a loud clicking sound when accelerating from start or decelerating speeds. It sounds like there is a golf ball rolling around inside of an empty drum. If I open the top lid and spin the drum by hand you can hear the distinct clicking sound. Otherwise the complete cycle completes but it sounds like trouble is around the corner. What can this be? Please advise. I would greatly appreciate your help. :confused:
