If that works let me know, I've got a garage fridge without water supply that would be handy to do the same with.

Thanks, buddy! A brilliant idea!

Most modern IMs are timed fill. You may not have enough pressure that way to get a full sized cube. An aquarium pump or other small cheap pump might do it though. Just use the power the fridge applies to the valve in the back to power the pump, or rig up a relay off that power.

I will soon have a back-up fridge in my garage. It has an ice maker, and I do not have water plumbed to the garage. Can I use a gravity feed into the ice maker out of a medical grade plastic can?
So I guess the question is, does the ice machine time the water input or wait for a float or something?
Sadly, haven't got the fridge yet, so can't do serial, model, etc.
