You have probably found the description of that code through Google by now but basically it means that the relay that powers the pump has failed. Or at least the computer thinks it has. Sometimes if you get lucky it is the actual pump but that's not very common.

Most of the time that would mean a new main control. You can check the pump operation during test but that is not going to run the pump as long as an actual cycle would.

If you have a multimeter you can monitor that pump voltage as it approaches the eight minute mark and see if it gets weird and shows 30 volts or something like that. Often when relays fail they deliver low or unusual voltage. You can also check the resistance of the pump motor to verify that it is not shorted or otherwise faulty. I think you're looking for around 12 ohms on that motor.

Whirlpool Duet Sport washer (WFW8500SR00) stopping with F-01 error code with about 8 minutes remaining in the final spin cycle. I have unplugged the machine, waited a few minutes a plugged it back in but the problem still occurs. Any suggestions?
