The igniter on our 11 year old GE builder grade gas oven/cooktop last night. IT was just used to cook dinner, but wouldn't ignite or heat when needed later that evening.

I watched the video and got to the igniter on my oven. It does not even glow. The igniter works for the broiler and that does light. So, I assume the igniter needs to be replaced. It looks like an easy enough job.

However, I don't know which igniter to get. When I put the model number into the site's search engine, it comes up with several different igniters and igniter assemblies. Which one do I use for a simple plug and play replacement? Do I need to pull out the old one first to get a part number?

Also, is there additional testing I could or should do before ordering a part?
