This isn't exactly what you are dealing with, but take a look, it might help.

I would check for power at the board. If you have power up to the board and no display. Its probably the board.

The surge probably blew the on board transformer. It takes the 120 volts AC in and transforms it into a voltage the board can use like 6 and 12 volts AC. Which then gets rectified into DC voltage.

Ok I have a dryer that took a power surge yesterday and now it will not power on at all. No lights, no hum, no beeps. I have done a lot of testing on the unit and have come up with no obvious issue.

--Tested the voltage coming into the machine and it is correct.
--Tested the thermal fuses with an ohm meter.
--Wasn't satisfied that the fuses were good so I bypassed using alligator clips on the fuse terminal while the fuse was still plugged in. Still no lights
-- Took out the door switch and tested both the NO and NC terminals and they work.
-- Double checked the door switch across the main control board. (looked at wiring diagram) and I saw the voltage to the motor increase when the door switch was depressed.
-- Discovered that the interior bulb is blown. It wasn't before.
--Tested to see if the dryer would run from the turn of the dial or the power switch and nothing works.

Any suggestions?
