ok, check the tube and if ok, replace the switch.

Also this model has an error code generator on the inverter which is on the motor. Take off the front panel and see if you have a blinking light. Here is a site that will tell you how to interpret and also do the reset, sometimes that will fix things.

Model # is WPRE6150K2WT. The machine goes through the entire cycle just fine but we can't put much in the washer because the water level doesn't get above 6 to 8 inches. Does this help?

Without a full model number I can only give you a generic answer which is to check out and clean the tube between the water level switch and the tub. If that does not fix things you can try replacing the water level switch, particularly if the machine goes into agitation mode after it fills with the small amount of water.

If it just stops and does nothing then the control unit may be the problem.

I have a GE Profile top load that will not fill more than about 6 to 8 inches of water no matter what setting it is on. Any suggestions/ideas?
