Hello,

My freezer stopped working on my GE GFSS6KIXASS unit. The unit has the french door refrigerator above, and freezer below.

The refrigerator and freezer on this model have separate evaporators.

Symptoms:

The freezer suddenly stopped freezing.

Freezer is at 65F

Refrigerator is at 38F

Troubleshooting I've done:

I removed the evaporator cover in the freezer and observed the evaporator only frosts for about the first 3 inches of the inlet side.

I tested the thermistor, bi-metal, and evaporator fan in the freezer, and all tested good.

I replaced the main board.

I'm not sure where to take my troubleshooting efforts.

Any help would be great!
