I have a Frigidaire FPHC2398LF1 side by side that will not dispense cubed or crushed ice. Water dispensing is normal. When crushed ice is selected, the led on the touch panel shows the proper selection. Depressing the paddle has the following results: The lights that illuminate the dispenser and the green leds for the water and air filter status come on. There is an audible click of the relay that is supposed to energize the flapper solenoid, but the flapper solenoid does not energize. The ice auger motor does not run and therefore no ice is dispensed. Selecting cube ice results in the same thing with the addition that the solenoid that is supposed to open the gate around the ice crushing mechanism does not energize. I have tested the Auger Motor and Ice Gate Solenoid by applying 120vac directly to them and both function normally. I have also tested the Door Switch that is supposed to prevent the auger from running with the freezer door open and it functioned properly. It appears that the 120vac needed to power the solenoids and auger motor is the common denominator in the failure. Unfortunately, I’m working with a very small wiring diagram that was in the data pouch under the refrigerator and it is difficult to accurately trace the circuits. Any ideas on how to further troubleshoot this problem?
