1 burner is not working - no gas flow and no spark - and I am trying to figure out how to remove the top to test the parts. I can unplug the unit, turn off the gas, and and lift the whole unit out, but have no instructions for opening the closed unit.

Removing the screws from the sides does not solve the problem. I have tried to "unscrew" the burner top - the gas supply tube has a hex nut top - but it hasn't budged and I don't want to damage it. Can you provide help to remove the burner assembly so I can open the unit?

BTW have had great experience buying parts from Appliance Parts Pros for my washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. So now its time to work on the cooktop ;)

Thanks
