Reset your AC panel breaker for the dryer. One half may have tripped. If not that, check for 240ac at dryer cord connection block on back of dryer. If good, unplug dryer and check continuity of the thermal cutoff and high limit thermostat. Check resistance of heater coil, should be 7 to 12 ohms. Check resistance between heater coil and chassis ground. Should be open. Check inlet and outlet thermistors. Resistance chart is on your tech sheet. If all good, will provide further instructions.

Kenmore elite smartheat Quiet Pak 4 dryer will not heat. Have changed lint screen, removed all lint and changed dryer plug. It comes on and drum turns but does not heat. Have made sure vent is clear. It goes through the cycle of sensing laundry as wet and goes to sensing damp but is actually still wet. Does anyone know what else I should be checking?
