Use your tester to check and see that 110-120 v is getting to the timer. Then check the water level switch to make sure it is not stuck and finally check the current to the water valves to see if they are getting power when the timer calls for water. And of course check to make sure the water is on and unimpeded to the unit.

i got this unit from a friend, and has been in storage. i install unit and only the dryer works, checked connection from washer to dryer and is connected properly, what should be my next step in trouble shooting this unit, i have tester to test electrical
