Thanks for the help. I had issues with the password and had trouble logging in again.

It seems the optics are bad. I will order a new pair of boards to go in the freezer compartment.

Thank you for your help.

You may also want to check the actual freezer temperature with a thermometer.
It should be between 0 and 5 degrees F.

I will get a meter, check it, and report back.
Thank you.

You either have an intermittent power wire to the icemaker, or intermittent optics. Get a meter, remove the receiver board on the right side of the freezer and measure the voltage from the black wire to the white wire at the connector, should be 115 volts.
If ok, put a wire jumper between the black and black/white connector wires.
If you now have steady ice maker performance, you have bad optics.

Hello,
For several months, our Kenmore fridge has made ice only sporadically. I replaced the ice maker unit, and that didn't change anything. I recently replaced the water inlet valve, and if anything, it is producing less ice. (I can send the inlet valve back.)

The water is coming into the inlet valve at a good pressure.

There is currently ice in the ice maker tray, but it has not been ejected.

The fill tube going into the ice maker does not seem to be frozen.

The red indicator light is blinking the way it always has.

I don't have a multimeter, but I could get one.

Thanks, David
