This is an above-the-stove mounted microwave. I was having a problem whereby the control panel worked and would accept entries from the key pad but it would not start. However, if you gave it a light rap on the right side it would start up and work fine. Well, after the last light rap on the right side, now the control panel is completely dark and pressing the keypad produces no results. My initial thought was one of the door switches, but I checked them and they appear to be functioning normally, I also didn't know if a bad door switch would prevent the display/keypad from working. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.
