Ran the diagnostic listed below for my Kitchenaid Dishwasher model number KUDS30IXSS8.
SERVICE DIAGNOSTICS NOTES

1 To invoke the Diagnostics Cycle, perform the

following while in standby:

Press any 3 keys in the sequence 1-2-3-1-2-3-

1-2-3 with no more than 1 second between key

presses

■

The Service Diagnostics Cycle will start when the

door is closed.

The diagnostic ran for a bit and then ended. I attempted to run the dishwasher hoping it was fixed and it did the same thing as before...ran the initial spray, made some noise near the top of the unit like it was trying to do something and then abruptly canceled the cycle. This time however, there is a smell coming from inside like something is burning. Please help!
