	Is the coil thing called capillary?[COLOR="Blue"][/COLOR] Yes The sensing part is at the end of it.

	The unit is cycling. Is the coil thing called capillary? It is confined in a frame in my model. I will try moving it to see the result. Thanks again.

	Is the unit cycling or is it on all the time? If on all the time then it could be defective. You could hold the end of the capillary tube on an ice cube to see if the thermostat's contacts open. It is important that the capillary end be in the same place as the original. You could try moving it closer to the freezer compartment to see if it will get more of the freezer temperature and therefore shut off sooner.

	I bought one from ******** and replaced the thermostat. The refrigerator is running, but the temperature is too low at 30F even when I move the adjustment to 1 on the scale 1-9. Is it possible that the thermostat is defective? How do I test it? Thanks, Yuan

	If it happened once, it will happen again so I would replace it.

	Here are your parts Parts for TPX25PR - AppliancePartsPros.com You are missing digits at the end so will have to choose the correct model from the Matching Model Numbers section. [COLOR="Blue"] How to I determine if it is the defrost timer, relay, overload or compressor that is the problem?[/COLOR] Since the condenser/compressor fan are both off it will not be the start relay or the overload as the compressor and fan are usually wired in parallel so neither part is getting power. That leaves you with the control thermostat or the defrost timer. Try moving the thermostat back and forth. If it fires up then it is the most likely cause. If this does nothing. Turn the defrost timer cam with a screwdriver. There is usually a hole in the cover that allows you to do this without dismantling the unit. If it fires up I would replace the timer.
