Looks like my meter beep on the switch, on the tstat, but on the thermal fuse no beep. So I am guessing it is the thermal fuse that has gone out and that is easy to replace on my part. Thank you for the tips an thank you to my brother in law Dee Hiatt fo the multi meter and the one minute training session. I have seen the used all of my life and never new how to use one. Saved me 1000 dollars since my wife had her eye on a new matching pair of Maytag front loads.

I have a digital meter. What do I set it on to test the continuity?

You need to use a multimeter to check continuity of the door switch and the start switch when pushed. If they check out ok, remove the back panel and check continuity of the thermal fuse on the blower housing (has 2 blue wires on it).

My Roper Dryer RED4340SQ1 Has stopped working. It won't run at all. I have checked breaker and power. It ran this morning but now it won't come on at all. I have opened closed door several times and looked at door switch. Knob control seems to turn as normal.
