My daughter has a Whirlpool microwave above the stove that is 7 years old and displayed an error message just recently. When the door is closed the light stays on and when you attempt to heat anything by inputting the time and hitting "Start" it will say "DOOR IS OPEN" when it is actually closed. It does latch properly but will not operate due to the error message. Thank you for the help.
