Here are your parts Parts for NED7200TW - AppliancePartsPros.comNot sure if you are using an analogue or digital meter. Would that not register at all on the meter? It will read the same as when the meter leads are not touching. re: an open circuit. The heating element should read about 10 ohms. Use the most sensitive resistance scale on your meter. Short the meter leads together so you know what it reads with no resistance. If an analogue meter, this is where you adjust the needle to read 0 ohms. Now measure across the heater.

My dryer stopped heating. The power is good and the vent was clean. I checked resistance on the thermostats and they seem good but my ability with a meter is limited. I check the heating element but got no reading what so ever. Not sure if I am using the right setting for the heating element. I read somewhere else that if you get "infinite resistance" then you need a new heating element. Would that not register at all on the meter?
