...to clean underneath - not underway
Punchie Posted: Wednesday, July 31, 2013 8:33:53 AM(UTC)

While attempting to slightly open cooktop to clean underway I bent open two of the gaslines feeding the front two burners (I understand the error in my ways, no comment necessary). I quickly secured the stove at the wall and call the gas company. They showed up and tagged the valve.
I called the local repair company and they sent out a repairman. He visited and told us to order the parts and he would install them. Calling around, I'm quoted at ~$300 for a package of all four lines. While I believe to properly and safely repair this I probably should replace all four.
Looking at the diagram of this unit it is very difficult to acertain the four burner 1/4" gas lines. Also, the connectors? Is there a compression ferule that fits into the threaded connector or what means is it sealed (solder?).
Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
