This sounds very much like the control unit. Under the top there should be some tech notes that will show you how to do some diagnostics and some testing.
In the end you may have to replace the control unit on spec, but if you buy from this site and the part does not fix the problem you can return it.

Hey my duet is starting up on its own in middle of night.Also when there is about 7 min or so left it will jump back up to 20 or more .Is this my control board ? also at end of cycle sometimes clothes are still wet any ideas.
