Need the model number, not the serial number. Should be under the lid somewhere (tub rim) or on back of washer. Should be a nameplate with model number and serial number. The motor coupler part number you have is correct for a direct drive washer. New couplers have metal inserts in them, old ones do not.

I CANNOT find the serial no. on my washer. I bought part AP3963893 because I thought they looked alike. But, they are different. If there are no numbers to identify the unit what do I do?

On the washer on the back the only no. I can find says 'part 387298'.
