Most likely q6 on the washer overheated mine did this and then got the r11 if u do work on the board these parts can be found at radio shack for around 6.00 total, the new board is 100.00 from sears parts. I would check q6 on the board.

Hello my hella old maytag Neptune washer will not spin... door locked light does not come on when it reaches that part of the cycle... looked at main control board and R11 resistor is fine... please help me continue on this hassle of figuring out what the problem is and if its worth it to try and fix
