Hi Simon,

Thanks, I saw the video yesterday, can you also tell me the specifications for that "sprocket wrench" that I would need, considering that my washer is older than the one in the video? Thanks, DR

Hi Simon, thanks, I can't see the exact leak location from the panel in the back or the top, but it looks like the center post gasket is a good bet. I can't read the part number for the center post gasket, can you reply with the part number? Thanks

Hi.

You can't remove the cabinet from this one. Remove the panel from the back of the washer at the bottom two 5/16 screws and observe the leak.
Also, raise the top by opening two clips in front.
Most likely it's a bad center post gasket, but with this old washer it could be corrosion too.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and 01-Tub and Basket , Lit / Optional parts for Whirlpool LDA7600W0 - AppliancePartsPros.com

Post the results.

Anyone have instructions for removing the cabinet this washer has a welded cabinet all the way around, so removal seems complicated. Need to see where the leak is coming from (somewhere under the Tub but above the Tub platform.
Thanks for any assistance
