Hello,

Most likely the problem is a broken motor coupling. You do not need big space to fix it. All job, including the troubleshooting, can be done from the front of the washer by removing the washer cabinet. Click on the part number bellow to view the repair video.

I am looking at the above described washer for a friend. I recognize the mahine as being made by Whirlpool. The problem she is having is the machine will not spin, it just makesw a grinding noise. I would say it is either the clutch or the transmission, but the space is very limited and I haven't yet tried to tear into it that far. Thanks for any help anyone can offer.
