I have a GE side-by-side refrigerator freezer that has an in-door ice/water dispenser that has stopped working. It has the laminated touch-pads for option selection above the dispenser opening. The cubed and crushed ice and light options work fine. Also, the filtered water supply to the ice-maker is functioning, as it continues to make new ice. However, the filtered water option from the door has stopped working. I have visually checked a number of mechanical things to determine what may be the problem. Nothing is frozen or clogged which leads me to believe the problem may be something electronic? Perhaps the touch-pad or something in the electronic controls/circuit boards? Items which I have not checked. Short of paying to have a repair service come out and assess, I choose to go this route first. Any suggestions?
