Our Kitchen Aid YKERC507HW4 (sometimes referred to as YKERC507EW2) white range was working fine for 10 years. While baking, we heard a loud noise coming from the oven and the panel lights went off. I realized this might have tripped the power fuse, so I reset the house fuse and the range started working again. Only one problem.

The bake element does not heat up anymore, while the top (broil) element work fine. The surface elements work fine too.

Would would probably be the reason? I looked at the part list for my range and there does not seem to be any "thermal fuses" as other ovens. There is only a "breaker" which is only used for the power outlet.

Any help?
