It is normal for it to take 24 hours to fill the ice bin and there is not much you can do the speed things up. It should drop about once an hour or so give or take depending on the cube size and the temperature in the freezer.

It is either the icemaker or the water valve. Some parts on the icemaker can be replaced so it is possible to repair the icemaker.
