kbarr The first thing I would do is to check the heat element. Pull the dryer out of the wall, remove the power, remove the rear cover. On the right side you'll see the heater box. Remove wires from the heater and check it for continuity. If there is no continuity then the heater has to be replaced. The part number for the new heater is AP3109438 If the heater is fine check the thermal fuse and the thermal cut off. Part number for the thermal fuse is AP3132867 and the part number for the thermal cut off is AP3094224 Good luck. Gene.

My dryer quit heating 4 days ago. 5 kids and right before school started today when I need it most. I am assuming it's the heating element, but that's just a guess. This dryer is 16 years old and the 1st I've ever had a problem with it. Can someone tell me where to begin, how I can find the part, can I order the part and install it myself? All help is appreciated.
