If you heard a humming sound is either, foreing object is inside your water pump or your motor stoped working.

Remove motor and remove pump. remove hose from water pump and look inside, usually small sox get inside there.

do you know how to jump out the lid switch.

If it drains then there is probably nothing wrong with the lid switch.

Remove the washer cabinet (instructions attached), the pump and the motor and check the motor coupling (#13 on the diagram).

Make sure there is no any foreign objects between the inner and outer tubs.

Check how the transmission shaft is moving in both directions.

Post the results.

I hear a humming sound when it is supposed to spin instead of the normal spinning sound. It does drain I believe, but my clothes do come out a bit soapy sometimes. I don't know if the motor runs or not, but the humming may indicate something.

How do I check the lid switch?

To get to the spin.

First check the switch lid if lid switch is broken washer on spin. If ok.

secong check the coupling motor they usually get worn out.

is located between the motor and transmission.

look for any foreing object between you tub and your basket.

Hello,

Our washer has gradually stopped spinning. It is about a year and two months old. It started to not spin about 50% of the time, and now, after about 2 months, it is very rare that it spins at all. Our clothes always come out soaked and unable to dry.

Any help would be greatly appreciated on how to fix this.

Thanks,
Jon
