Here are your parts
Parts for Roper REX6634RQ1 Dryer - AppliancePartsPros.com

See the attachment for the wiring diagram

In timed dry the timer motor gets power through Timer Switch 0 TM/WB contacts. If it does not advance then the most likely cause is a power problem.
In auto modes the timer motor gets power through the heating element when it is turned off through Timer Switch 0 TM/OR contacts. So it will not advance in auto if the heater is blown (open)
THIS FORUM IS DEAD!!!!!!!

Turn the timer to timed dry, air fluff or no heat. See if the timer will advance.

I did trip the breaker several times, same problem with the timer not advancing in all modes. Once I replace the heating element do you think that will fix the timer problem too?

When the element broke it may have tripped one side of the circuit breaker. Reset your breaker.

Hey guys,

Recently my dryer stopped heating and the timer will not advance. I read through the forums here and took my dryer apart. I used a multi-meter like everyone suggests and discovered that the heating element has a coil that is busted. I'm going to purchase a new heating element and install it but I want to make sure that is the ONLY problem with the dryer. Everything else checked out, but what is curious to me is that the timer did not advance in ANY setting. Does that mean there is a problem with my timer as well? Or will replacing the heating element cause the timer to advance in all settings again?
