I'm glad you were able to fix it.

Thanks Gene!!
I FINALLY found the time to take the unit apart and found the fan housing had cracked and was blocking the fan blade, just as you had advised. I repaired it and it works perfect.
Thanks again,
Mark

Thanks Gene,
I contacted Magic Chief but they didn't have a repair service near me so I was told to cut off the cord and return it for a refund. Which I will do, but... being frugal and not wanting to throw out a 2 month old Microwave I would like to try to fix it. I will take the unit apart this weekend and see what's up with the fan?
While I have it apart is there anything else I should be looking for?

I will let you know how I make out and thanks for your advice!
Mark

Hi Mark,

Most likely the problem is a faulty cooling fan inside the microwave.

If the microwave is less then a year old, it should be under the manufacturer warranty.

This unit shuts down on me after 2 minutes. After about five minutes it comes back on but you then have to reset the time and again it shuts down in just over 2 minutes. Any body know what might be wrong?
Thanks
Mark
