If the module will not go in defrost, it's probably bad,but I would first check your defrost thermostat, it might be blown open, they usually bulg open when blown.

Thank you, I tried freezer button high pressing refridgr down, no luck. Tried using the light buutton on/off 5 times in 6 seconds, no luck. I am just having a Senior moment?

Yes it apparently is built in the control module. Go to web site www.applianceaid.com/adaptive_defrost.html for a manual defrost test for your fridg.

Hello,
I have looked in the cantroll panel, back panel and under front. If I had to guess, I would say that it is built in to the long black sensor in the back of the controll panel. How to test?
