no response from anyone yet... wondering if this is an active website. Though I did see recent responses to other topics... maybe everyone's as stumped as I am. Going to make decision tomorrow whether to buy new or repair old, unless someone can offer suggestion for what else to try.

I just rechecked hoses which are completely clear. Also nothing blocking entry or exit of hoses. No blockage inside pump. I'm still thinking the drive rod (don't know actual name of that part) could be the problem. Everything I read says that has to do with the coupler. BUT everything also says if the coupler is bad, machine won't agitate - but it does agitate. The only thing it does not do is drain unless the spin cycle "pushes" water out.

Everything else works, but water won't drain until it goes in to a spin. I just replaced the pump and am fairly handy so I'm confident I did it right, but nothing changed. Since it does drain, I'm thinking the hoses couldn't be plugged, right? It's as if the pump must not be spinning inside, and that's driven by the motor, so maybe it's the motor? But the one motor powers everything right? And everything else works. Anything else I could check?
