Hi Scott, Remove the dispenser front cover (the instructions are attached). Locate the P1 connector on the dispenser control board and check for 120 VAC between the wires connected to the pins 11 & 7 wile the freezer door is closed. If the reading is correct, replace the dispenser control board. If the reading is incorrect, check for 120 VAC between the wire connected to the pin 11 and the ground while the freezer door is closed. If the reading is incorrect, replace the door interlock switch. If reading is correct, replace the main control board. - The door switch Part number: 4387911

Hello,
The Ice/Water Dispenser for my side by side Whirlpool refrigerator has completly stopped working. It seemed fine the day before, however, this evening none of the buttons on the front control panel are lit up and it will not dispense water or ice.
I assume one of the electrical panels or connectors has gone bad? Or does the dispenser unit have a fuse? I didn't see a fuse mention in the owners manual.
How can I tell which part might be bad without trying each replacing each part until it works? My appliance part supply house will not let you return most electronic parts.
Could it be the front panel Part# 2301327B has just given out? Not sure how to tell
