Remove the washer front panel and inspect all hoses inside. Use the washer without the front panel so you can see if the drain pump will run.

Here are the breakdown diagrams and Replacement parts for Frigidaire FGX831CS1 Frigidaire/laundry Center | AppliancePartsPros.com

I have a stackable washer/drier. It normally works fine - cycling through the wash steps just fine. Every few washes the washtub will not fill and the water continues to run. This can happen on the wash cycle or the rinse cycle. I am guessing that the pump is pumping water out during the fill step. Whatever the cause - the washtub does not fill and the water never gets above a few inches deep.

Any suggestions as to what is the problem or how to correct.

Thanks:)
