Hi

I don't thing it makes any difference, just plug it in or replace the harness.

Thank you.

Simon.

I got my new ice maker! But I am reluctant to install it because the wiring harness has wires in different places on the connector than the old one.

The new harness is straight through green tan, white, black

The old harness crosses white and black.

motor end -------------- the freezer connector
Connector 1.................Connector 2
pin 1 green-------------> pin 1 green
pin 2 tan---------------> pin 2 tan
pin 3 white ................ pin 3 black
pin 4 black ................ pin 4 white

Has the ice maker been redesigned?
Should I just swap out harnesses?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Dave

I got the ice maker out this morning to check the voltage. I heard what sounded like a piece of ice in the side cover. I opened the cover and found the plastic gear had boken off.

Should I order the motor module or just order a whole new ice maker unit?

I changed the water filter, dumped the ice, now it wont make ice.

My son broke off the flapper door years ago, but with my hand blocking the sensor, the light blinks twice then off, then twice, then off..... with my hand not blocking the sensor the light just glows red.

Not sure where to go from here, other than I guess I need a new flapper door to start.

Model - KSRB25FKSS04
Make - Kitchen Aid

Thanks,
Dave
