Thank you for your help. I did check for 240 and it is present. My wife had mentioned the dish washer but that is working fine sorry for confusing the issue. So to clarify, the stove and drier are not heating up and I do have 240 coming in.

Sounds like you have lost half the line.
The stove and the dryer use 240 volts for the heaters. The control boards, lights etc. all use 120 volts.
Did you check for the 240 volts?
FYI: the power into your house is actually two 120 volt supplies with a common Neutral. These supplies are 180 degrees out of phase. So when one is at positive 120 volts the other is at negative 120 volts. The heaters are connected between these two giving you 240 volts.
The weird thing here is that the dishwasher and it's heater run off of 120.
Also the two sides of the line are both used for lights/receptacles in the house and you would have noticed that other things do not work.
I cannot think of anything that would cause the heaters to all blow at the same time. Heating coils are fairly robust and a power line problem (spike etc.) is more likely to blow control boards.
Sorry I cannot be of much help but your problem is very weird.

Hello,
I am having a very hard-to-Google issue with my electric appliances. Last Thursday, all of my electric appliances that contain heating elements have failed (Stove, Dryer & Dishwasher). These appliances still power up but do not heat. They are all strictly electric and have their owner circuits. I have checked the volts and confirmed the lines are supplying sufficient power. The Stove (Whirlpool) & Dishwasher (GE) are 2 years old. The Dryer (Whirlpool) is several years old. What could cause all three to fail? What can I do to troubleshoot/repair? Please Help!
